Originally called Berlin, Kitchener-Waterloo is nestled between London, Cambridge and Paris in Southwestern Ontario. I had a to pick between K-W and Niagara falls; it was an easy choice. I am pleased to announce that I met this week's crazy in downtown Kitchener.
A young man, 30 or so, came up to me while I was busking.
"Do you play anywhere else?" he asked
"What, you mean like bars and stuff? Not really, just here."
"Do you play privately?"
"Like for a party?" I asked, a little confused. "Generally not. I guess I could though."
"Say I paid you $50 for an hour?"
"Ummm, yeah, I guess I could do that. When were you thinking? I'm only in town for a few days."
"Now" he said quickly. "Are you free now? My van is just around the corner. You could entertain me for an hour or so."
The rusty wheels in my head started turning.
"Oh. I'm kind of busy now." I mumbled looking down at my denim skirt and Bert Newton T shirt.
$50 for an hour? Seriously? Boy, you CRAAAAAAZY!!!!
