Did I mention I'm going to be on a boat for the next 3 weeks? Probably not. Well here's the deal; I'm pausing my busking adventure for the next 3 weeks to sail from Rimouski up to Blanc Sablon.
Got questions? Thought you might.
Where the hell is that?
Basically, Rimouski is pretty north, and Blanc Sablon is 3 weeks north-east of that. As in there are no roads up there. As in you have to get there by boat. As in I'm seriously hardcore.
Wait, what?
Sigh. I'm going sailing woooohoooo!!!
Do you even know how to sail?
No. I had a beer on a sailing boat once. Does that count?
Who would let you on their boat?
Some guy I found on the internet. His name is Dave and he's 63.
Erm, anyone else going on this boat with you?
Sure. Dale (60ish) and Mike (35ish?).
And how do you know them?
Dave found them. On the internet.
When do you leave?
2 days. No big deal.
Seriously, do you know anything about sailing?
No but I'm learning. Today I worked on the boat. I learnt that a) I've never used a wrench before b) starboard is the right hand side of the boat and c) even I can bang my head on things.
So essentially, you're going to be trapped on a boat for 3 weeks in the middle of nowhere with 3 old men you found on the internet?
Yes.
If I have internet access, expect blogs to come in spurts...
A fun way to remember is that port has four letters just like left! So port = left and starboard = right. That's how I remember anyway.
