Revenge for a Change

I missed my rideshare to Quebec city. Then I missed my bus. By the time I went to buy a ticket for the next bus, I was angry. My love/hate relationship with buses continues. It was my own fault, but I wanted someone to take it out on. I decided to pay for my $46.55 ticket in coins, my little way of getting back at Greyhound for all they've put me through.

I went over to the counter and pulled out a giant bag of change. I didn't turn around, but I could feel the people waiting in line giving me looks of disbelief that turned to pure hatred. I didn't care. I didn't even care that this wasn't Greyhound, but some poor, unsuspecting bus company. I still don't care.

I counted out the money with satisfaction.

11 toonies ($2) - That's for all the times you were late.
15 loonies ($1) - That's for all the times you were on time when I was late.
26 quarters (25c) - That's for all the times you broke down.
10 dimes (10c) - That's for the smell.
11 nickels (5c) - That's for Thunder Bay bus station.
150 pennies (1c) - And that's for taking 400 hours of my life this year.
