The poll is closed, the votes have been counted. You, my blog readers, have decided that I should open Sue's untouched Oprah's 20th Anniversary DVD box set.
I've been thinking about it all week. Every weekday afternoon at 4pm I sit down with a beer (or two) and watch Oprah. I learn how terrible the US public school system is, what life is like as a hostage in Iran and why Jon Stewart's new book is 'faaaaaabuloooous!' But I want more, and it's all on that DVD.
I want to be as prepared as possible for Oprah's upcoming visit to Australia, so I was relieved that the majority of you said 'yes'. Yet, as I stood there, ready to lay my hands on the holy grail of television, I couldn't help but think, 'what would Oprah do?' I tried to convince myself that she would want me to watch it so I could become more educated on, well... everything, but deep down I know she would never open the DVD, and so, neither will I. Not now anyway. Who knows what the long, Oprah-less weekend will do to me.
